30' & Larger Displays

Island and large inline exhibits — 30 ft inline runs, 20x40 and 30x30 island footprints, and SEG truss islands.

These are modular systems rather than one-off custom fabrication, which means the engineering already exists and the lead time is measured in weeks rather than months. What changes at this size isn't the hardware. It's everything around it.

What actually changes above 20 feet

This is the part most exhibitors get surprised by, so we'd rather say it on the page than in a phone call after you've ordered.

Freight stops being one crate. A 30x30 island ships across several crates, and they don't all fit in a van. You're on a truck, with a delivery window.

Drayage is charged by weight, not by booth. Material handling at most halls is billed per hundredweight with a minimum, so a heavier system costs more to get from the dock to your space — every single show. Over a multi-show year that difference routinely exceeds the price gap between two display systems. It's worth asking about before you choose, not after.

Install stops being a two-person job. At this size you're scheduling labor, and at most convention centers you're using the hall's labor rather than your own staff.

Hanging signs bring in a separate trade. Overhead rigging is usually its own jurisdiction with its own rates and its own advance order deadline. If you want a hanging banner above an island, that gets ordered early and budgeted separately.

Advance deadlines matter more. Ordering show services late carries a surcharge at nearly every hall, and the deadlines land weeks before the show.

Inline or island?

A 30 x 10 inline has neighbors on both sides and a back wall, so all your graphic real estate faces one direction and height limits are usually tighter.

A 20x40 or 30x30 island is open on all four sides. That means no back wall to hide behind, four sightlines to design for, and typically a taller height allowance — which is what makes overhead signage worth it.

The show's exhibitor kit governs both. Send it to us with your quote request and we'll read the height and rigging rules for you.

Before you buy at this size

Tell us the show, the booth number and your dates. At this footprint the right answer depends on the hall's rules, the labor situation and how many shows a year you're doing — and sometimes the honest answer is that renting for this one makes more sense than owning.

We handle installation and project management, including the parts of a show budget that aren't the booth.
