Architectural Window Graphics & Privacy Film in Boardman, OH
A thirty-foot interior glass wall, printed as one continuous image, installed in a working medical facility in Boardman.
Glass partitions solve one problem and create another. They open a building up and let daylight through the middle of it — and then every room behind them is on display. Printed architectural film is how you keep the light and take back the privacy, and it is a fraction of the cost of replacing the glass.

What makes a long run of glass difficult
Printable material comes off the roll at a fixed width. Any graphic wider than that is printed in panels and joined on site, and the join is where the job is won or lost.
Three things have to be right. The color has to match across panels, which means printing the whole run in one pass on one machine rather than reprinting a panel later. The seams have to land where they are least visible — planned against the artwork and the mullions, not wherever the roll happens to run out. And the panels have to be hung plumb against a wall that is rarely as square as the drawing.
Done properly, someone walking past sees an image. Done badly, they see the joins.
Privacy film, decorative film, and the difference
Frosted or etched privacy film is unprinted or lightly printed, and it does one job: it obscures the view while passing light. It looks like sandblasted glass and, unlike sandblasted glass, it comes off.
Printed architectural film carries a full-color image or pattern. It gives you the same privacy plus a graphic — branding, wayfinding, a mural, a pattern that belongs to the building.
Manifestation bands are the narrow strips at eye height on full-height glazing. They are there so nobody walks into the glass, and on a lot of commercial projects they are not optional. They can be plain or they can carry your branding; there is no reason for them to be plain.

Finished interior glass. Applied to the inside face, which is why it still looks new — nothing outdoors touches it.
Inside face or outside face
On interior partitions this is a non-question — both faces are indoors. On exterior glazing it matters a great deal.
Applied inside, the film is protected from weather, cleaning equipment and vandalism, and it lasts far longer. The graphic is printed reversed and read through the glass, which slightly softens it.
Applied outside, the graphic is crisp and the color is true, and it is exposed to Ohio winters. Three to five years with a laminate is a realistic expectation.
Where the building will allow it, interior application is almost always the better decision.
What we need to know before quoting
- Total glass area and the panel layout — how the glazing is divided changes where the seams go
- Whether the glass is insulated or tempered, particularly if the artwork is dark and full-coverage
- Whether the space stays in use during installation. Most of our healthcare work happens around a live schedule; it changes the timeline, not the price
- How long it needs to last, which decides the material and the laminate
- Whether anything has to come off cleanly later — a leased suite is a different specification from an owned building
Common questions
Does printed film block the light?
Frosted and decorative films pass most of the light while obscuring the view. A full-coverage opaque graphic blocks it, which is occasionally what a client wants and usually is not — we will say so before you commit.
Can it be installed while the building is occupied?
Yes. Interior glass film is low-odor and low-dust, and we schedule around clinical and office hours routinely.
How long does interior film last?
Many years. Interior film is generally replaced because someone wants a change, not because it has failed.
Can it be removed without damaging the glass?
Yes. Glass is the easiest surface there is to remove film from cleanly.
