Banners

There are four banner options here, and the choice comes down to where the banner hangs, how much wind hits it, and how many times it goes up and comes down.

13 oz. vinyl is the standard. It is a scrim vinyl that takes full-color print, works indoors and outdoors, and is the right material for most event, sale, and announcement banners. Stock sizes ship with hemmed edges and grommets already in place.

18 oz. vinyl is roughly twice the weight. It resists tearing at the grommets, which is what matters when a banner comes down and goes back up several times a season: gym and field house banners, fence banners that move between fields, anything handled by a crew rather than hung once and forgotten.

Mesh is perforated so air passes through the banner instead of pushing against it. It is the material for chain-link fence, construction scaffolding, and stadium perimeters. A solid vinyl banner in those places acts as a sail and eventually pulls its own grommets out.

Custom sizes are priced by the square foot in 13 oz. vinyl, 18 oz. vinyl, or mesh. Send the finished dimensions and we quote it.

Choosing a size

Measure the opening rather than the artwork. Hems and grommets sit inside the finished dimension, so a banner going into a fence panel or a frame needs to match the frame. For readability, plan on roughly one inch of letter height for every ten feet of viewing distance, and keep the main line short enough to read at a glance.

Finishing

Hems with grommets every two to three feet are standard. Pole pockets, reinforced corners, and wind slits are available on request.

Shipping terms differ by item. Each product page states whether that banner ships free ground or is quoted at checkout.
