Window Graphics, Perf & Frosted Film
Glass is usually the largest unused advertising surface a business owns, and the cheapest one to change.
We measure, print and install — storefronts, offices, clinics and schools across Cleveland, Akron and Northeast Ohio.
The three kinds, and when to use each
Perforated window film ("perf") is printed vinyl with tiny holes through it. From outside it reads as a solid graphic. From inside it's a tinted window you can still see through. Use it when you want the whole window working as signage without blinding the people behind it — storefronts, vehicle rear windows, ground-floor offices. It cuts glare and some heat as a side benefit.
Frosted and etched privacy film mimics sandblasted glass at a fraction of the cost and, unlike real etching, it comes off. Use it for conference rooms, exam rooms, glass partitions and anywhere you need privacy without losing light. It also solves the bird-strike and walked-into-glass problem on full-height panels, which some building codes require.
Printed window graphics and clings are opaque vinyl or static cling for logos, hours, promotions and seasonal work. Clings use no adhesive at all and come off in seconds, which makes them right for anything that changes monthly.
Where these go
Storefronts and restaurants — hours, logos, full-window campaigns.
Medical and dental offices — frosted film on exam room and reception glass. This is the most common request we get, and it's usually needed before an office opens.
Corporate offices — conference room privacy, branded glass walls, manifestation bands on full-height glazing.
Schools and municipal buildings — we did the pedestrian bridge window perf in Akron and architectural privacy film in Boardman.
Vacant and leasing space — "coming soon" and leasing graphics that make an empty unit look like a plan instead of a vacancy.
What we need to know
Inside or outside glass. Outside-applied film weathers and is easier to damage; inside-applied lasts longer and is protected, but the graphic reads through the glass and needs to be printed reversed. We'll tell you which your situation wants.
Insulated or tempered glass. Dark graphics on large insulated panes can create thermal stress. It's uncommon, but it's worth us knowing the glass type before we spec a full-coverage black graphic.
Whether it's getting cleaned with a squeegee. Perf needs a gentler routine than plain glass, and it matters if you have a cleaning contractor.
Temperature. Film goes on best above 50°F. From November through March we work inside-applied where we can, and schedule outside work around the weather rather than promising a date we can't hit.
How long it lasts
Interior frosted and privacy film lasts many years and is limited mostly by whether you want a change. Exterior perf typically runs 3 to 5 years in Ohio weather with laminate, less without. Clings are a season or two by design.
What it costs
Window work is priced per square foot installed. Perforated film and frosted privacy film land in a similar range; clings and simple cut lettering, supplied without install, are considerably less. Small jobs carry a minimum — one conference room door isn't priced the same per foot as a storefront.
