Classic Mamba Rectangle Flag X-Base

The cross base that fits the Mamba rectangle flags in small (5 ft.), medium (7 ft.) and large (9.8 ft.). Base only — no pole sections, no cross arm, no graphic.

This is the base for surfaces you cannot stake: a parking lot, a sidewalk, a show floor, a gym, a lobby. The pole drops into the socket at the center and the four steel legs spread the load across the floor. Because nothing is anchored, weight is what keeps it down — so outdoors, set a water bag over the center and add about 24 lb right where the pole stands. A rectangle flag carries its graphic flat on an L-arm, which catches more wind than a feather flag of the same height, so on an exposed site the ballast matters.

No. This is the base by itself.

Do I need the water bag?
Indoors, no. Outdoors on anything other than a still day, yes — it is the cheapest thing you can do to keep a flag upright on pavement.

Spike base or X base?
Spike for grass and dirt, X base for hard surfaces. A flag that travels between the two needs one pole set and both bases.
