Shipping

Shipping on yard signs is quoted at checkout. Bulk ground shipping goes to a single address; splitting a run across several addresses costs extra, so tell us if you need that and we will quote it. Campaigns in Summit and Portage County can pick up in Stow instead.

Ohio requires a disclaimer on political signs

Under Ohio Revised Code 3517.20, political communications supporting or opposing a candidate or ballot issue have to carry the name of whoever paid for them, worded as "paid for by" when a candidate or campaign committee paid. The Secretary of State can exempt items too small to carry it, such as buttons and pencils. Yard signs are not on that exempt list.

We will point it out if we do not see a disclaimer on the artwork you send. We are a print shop and not your lawyer, so confirm the exact wording with your campaign's counsel or your county Board of Elections before you approve the proof. Getting it right at proof stage costs nothing; getting it wrong means reprinting the whole run.

How many signs a campaign actually needs

For a first-time local race — school board, city council, township trustee — most campaigns start at 50 to 100 signs and reorder. The signs go to supporters' front yards, to high-traffic intersections where the law allows, and to polling-place perimeters on Election Day. Buy fewer than you think at first and keep budget back for a reorder, because you will learn in week two which corners matter.

Ohio municipal races run in odd years and state races in even ones, so if you are planning ahead rather than ordering now, the useful dates are the May primary and the November general.

Can I order fewer than a full set?
Sets are 10 signs at 24 x 18 in. and 20 signs at 18 x 11 in., which is how the material is cut and shipped. For a quantity between sets, or for a size not listed here, email us and we will quote it.

How long will the signs last outdoors?
A full election season comfortably. 4mm coroplast and UV-cured ink handle rain, wind and cold; the usual failure is a stake bent by a mower or a sign taken by weather off a soft shoulder, not the print giving up.

Where am I allowed to put them?
On private property with the owner's permission, which is the safe answer everywhere. Rules for public right-of-way, medians and berms are set by your city or township and vary street by street, so check with your municipality. Signs placed illegally tend to get pulled, and you have paid for them either way.

What do you need from me to start?
Your name as it appears on the ballot, the office, the election date, the disclaimer line, and a logo if you have one. That is enough for a first proof.

Can I reorder mid-campaign?
Yes, and most campaigns do. The artwork stays on file, so a reorder is three business days after you confirm, without a new proof cycle.

Do you print for any party?
Yes. We print for candidates, levy committees and issue campaigns without regard to party or position.
